Houston LGBT Pride Celebration 2019

Hundreds of thousands of spectators will attend the 2019 Houston LGBT Pride Celebration® on June 22!

This year, Pride Houston celebrates 41 years with events that you won't want to miss. The parade and festival take place in Downtown Houston, marking one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the South. 

The day of festivities kicks off with the Pride Festival from 12 pm to 7 pm at Hermann Square in front of City Hall. The parade followed at 8:30 pm along a route through the western edge of Downtown.

Here is a rundown of events for Pride 2019.

The Celebration caps off a series of events that make up Houston Pride Week. You won't want to miss the fun! 
 

June 12 - Grand Marshal Reception (6 PM - 8 PM)

Join us for a free evening of good food and company as we honor our 2019 Grand Marshals at Hamburger Mary’s! Everyone is invited to “Eat, Drink and be Mary!”. Once aptly named Houston’s Best Drag Queen, Kofi Cakes will be our hostess with the most–everything!

June 14 - Genderless Cocktail Party (8 PM - 11:30 PM)

Come as you are to Pride Houston’s first Genderless Cocktail Party! Join us for a night of light bites, craft cocktails, and fun at WeWork Downtown Houston.

June 16 - Feel My Pride: From My Root Pride Brunch (12 PM - 4 PM)

The official Sunday Funday Brunch of the Houston LGBT Pride Celebration! Join Houston Pride, Impulse Houston, and The T.R.U.T.H. Project as we celebrate life, family, and triumph over brunch and bottomless mimosas at The Ballroom at Bayou Place. Art, amazing music, and electric energy will fill the room. In the heart of the Bayou downtown, we will welcome you with love. This event is FREE to the public. Please register here.

June 17 - Skate Sober: Official Dry Pride Night (6 PM - 9 PM)

Looking for a family-friendly outing this Pride season? Well, join us at Lockwood Skating Palace for an evening of old school tunes and classic roller skating! No alcohol, no drama… just some R&B and good vibes!

June 18 - Dine with Pride (12 PM - 11:30 PM)

Invite your friends and family to Dine with Pride at Shake Shack in Montrose on Tuesday, June 18th during Houston Pride Week®. Let the cashier know that you are “Dining with Pride” and 50% of the proceeds of your order will be donated to Pride Houston, Inc.® and keeping the Houston Pride Festival admission free!

June 20 - Rock the Runway (7 PM - 10 PM)

Your Pride Rock the Runway will feature some of the hottest models in Houston walking the catwalk in this summer’s latest styles in casual wear, ladies evening wear and much more! Head to Naylor Street Sharespace from to see haute styles, the latest fashions in ladies evening wear, and plenty of avant-garde statements. This event is FREE and open to the public. No tickets are necessary unless you want the RTR VIP Experience! There will be plenty of delicious nibbles and an OPEN BAR for all. Over 18 welcome but you must be 21+ to drink. Guest must show a valid ID to verify legal age.

June 21 - Eden: Official Pride Girl + Party (9 PM - 2 AM)

Dedicated to the strong, beautiful and brave women of the LGBTQ+ Community, but don't worry, everyone is welcome! What surprises await you this year? With Houston’s hottest DJ’s, fresh tunes and beautiful ladies all at Houston’s Best Women’s Bar (Outsmart Magazine) – Pearl Bar Houston, you never know what’s could happen.

As always, your $10 door donation goes to keeping the Pride Celebration free and open to all!

June 22 - Houston LGBT Pride Festival and Parade (12 PM - 7 PM)

The Houston LGBT Pride Festival and Pride Parade are at the center of the Celebration with an attendance of hundreds of thousands every year from all over the world. Come and join all of the LGBT Community in celebrating who we are as people.

June 22-23 - Official Pride After Party (9 PM - 3 AM)

You’ve just had an amazing day at the festival and the pride parade but it doesn’t have to end… Rich’s Houston, Houston’s only LGBT mega-club host the official Pride Houston afterparty. Come experience the “dance palace” of Houston and dance into the after-hours with three different DJ’s, the “big tent event” and drag performances by The Ladies of Rich’s!

June 23 - Tea Dance, Official Pride Closing Party (4 PM - 11 PM)

The Houston LGBT Pride Celebration may be over but the party doesn’t end there. Now we invite you to the official closing party at the Eagle Houston block party!
