23rd Street Station Piano Bar is the long-running bar that is open to all. Dueling pianos, sing-a-longs, karaoke, and an old school lounge vibe make this Galveston staple a great spot to enjoy some live entertainment and cocktails.
Robert’s Lafitte positions itself as “Galveston's original drag show bar, and the oldest LGBT bar in the state of Texas”. All are welcome and are treated as family when they walk through the doors at the historic and humble bar. The fully stocked bar, indoor and outdoor space, plethora of drag entertainment, and tropical vibes make it a unique experience for queer folks to let loose. Watch your step, because Lafitte features a pool located right outside the bar!
Located right across from the beach, Island Time Beach Bar & Grill is a place for all. With a calendar packed with happy hour specials, karaoke, drag shows, drag bingo, and so much more, Island Time is a perfect place to grab a drink with friends on their expansive patio deck and enjoy some unique entertainment!

If you’re Jonesing for a relaxing beach day, head to one of Galveston’s queer-friendly sandy spots. Head over to Stewart Beach, located at 6th Street and Seawall Boulevard, or East Beach, which historically hosts Galveston Pride Beach Bash & Block Party, located near Galveston Island’s eastern tip. Bring an umbrella and a cooler packed with your favorite bites and beverages and soak in the sun and salty air.
