El Tiempo 1308 Annex

The second Montrose-area location of El Tiempo Cantina’s wildly popular Tex-Mex concept opened along Lower Westheimer in spring 2015. The sibling restaurant is the seventh in the Laurenzo family’s culinary empire, which is known for its signature fajitas and margaritas.

The new outpost unfolds in a two-story space with 297 seats, a slightly larger venue than the original Montrose location, but the food than fans love remains the same. The menu features classics like tacos, tamales, chalupas, enchiladas and combo plates while house specialties involve the oak grill for savory fajitas, quail, baby back ribs and jalapeno sausage. Fresh fish, spicy shrimp, scallops and swordfish enjoy the same smoky treatment. The full bar serves premium tequilas, fresh made margaritas and pitchers of brandy-laden sangria.

El Tiempo 1308 Annex is open for lunch and dinner daily, along with breakfast on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
