Located on Westheimer in the Montrose District, the gay-owned bakery, La Sicilia Italian Bakery & Cafe, is heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth. Couple Antonio Rios and Diego Chiarello have brought a slice of Sicily to the Houston neighborhood with authentic pastries, desserts and a scrumptious lunch menu.
Inside this rustic bakery, a glass case protects an assortment of tasty treats ranging from croissants and cannoli to bomboloni and macarons. The beautiful desserts almost look fake and like they were drawn by Walt Disney cartoonists; too perfect and tempting to be real. And there is something for everyone with an endless list of different pastries and flavors. To list them all here wouldn’t serve the bakery justice, so we suggest stopping by and seeing with your own two eyes (or at least following their mouth-watering Instagram). Also, with a rotating menu, there is always something new to savor.
Besides desserts, La Sicilia has also crafted an Italian bistro lunch menu with new dishes and twists on classics.
