In October 2012, Sean and Michelle Marshall launched their craft coffee and wine bar, Southside Espresso, in Houston's Montrose neighborhood. Tucked away, right behind Uchi, the shop is open daily turning out caffeinated art, vino and small plates to loyal locals.
Inside, patrons find seating at bistro-style tables, as well as along the wrap-around coffee bar, though some venture outside, to the (dog-friendly) second floor patio for open-air vistas prime for early-morning espressos and post-work happy hours. Beyond ample outlets, free wifi and relaxed ambiance, guests find a menu touting Fusion Beans coffees, as well as a rotating line-up of guest coffees. Local pastries, meats, cheeses and other light bites are on offer, along with a well-informed beer and wine selection.
Southside Espresso is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to midnight, as well as Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to midnight.
