Rim Tanon

In spring 2017, the team behind Houston’s Thai Cottage and Time for Thai expanded with a modern Thai street food concept named Rim Tanon. Located off Richmond Avenue, near Kirby, the restaurant combines the talent of conceptual Chef Nittreeya Wongsa and executive Chef Nunnapat Triwatkhunakon. Together, the two offer a mix of North and Northeast-style Thai food in a creative array of shareable appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Named after the Thai word for “roadside,” guests can expect a street food focused eatery with remixes of classics like papaya salad, tom yum soup and pad thai, as well as more obscure items like pumpkin curry and crabmeat fried rice. Inside, discover a contemporary space with homey touches like quilt-pattern chairs, shiplap-wrapped walls and banquettes adorned with cheery throw pillows.

Rim Tanon is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday.
