Paulie's

Bernard and Kathy Petronella opened Paulie’s restaurant in 1998 after building up their catering business for years. They named the restaurant after their son, Paul, who took over the family business in 2007.

Since then, Paul Petronella has dedicated himself to making Paulie’s on Westheimer everything it can be. The menu is decidedly Italian, hearkening back to the Petronella’s heritage. Daily dishes such as bucatini puttanesca, spaghetti and meatballs and the Vinni pizza are what keep folks interested. Other staples on the menu include rigatoni bolognese, fettuccini alfredo and chicken picatta.

But Paulie’s is also popular among those looking for a quick sandwich at lunch. The restaurant’s signature sandwiches served with Italian potato salad include the Italian hoagie, grilled portabello, shrimp BLT and pork tenderloin with Cajun mustard, just to name a few.

Paulie’s is located on a bustling section of Lower Westheimer, close to antique and resale shops among other retail options.
