Located in downtown's EaDo area, Miss Carousel is a refreshing throwback to a classic, refined cocktails bar. Created by the masterminds behind Agricole Hospitality, the drinks spot is vibrant and charming. Even the name of the cocktail bar comes with an interesting story, being named for Townes Van Zandt's song "Fare Thee Well, Miss Carousel" about falling for a charming yet unattainable gal.
Like its namesake, Miss Carousel offers an attractive menu with original and specialty drinks. Selections include up to 20 inventive cocktails and traditional drinks like The Old Fashioned and Margarita, as well as a beverage menu grouped in categories like Collins & Swizzles, Highballs and Spirituous.
The hip, lounge-like bar has an industrial look and modern touches covering all 5,000-square-feet of the cocktail bar. Mid-century decor fills the space in a way that offers guests their own, individual visiting experience. So much so that even the ordering process is unique - there's no standing bar to post up and chat around. Guests simply grab a seating area, order a drink with the server and wait to be served.
Miss Carousel is located next to Vinny's and Indianola in the East Village complex. The bar is open daily from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and street parking is available.
