Michael's Outpost

Since it opened in 1998, Michael's Outpost has been a gathering spot for the music lovers of Montrose.

Located in a strip of shops on Richmond, just across the street from the Menil campus, the bar offers a quaint, convivial atmosphere for regulars and those looking for a little something different. Michael's is set up cabaret style with small tables gathered around a grand piano. And that piano is alive nightly Wednesday through Sunday with a series of talented musicians at the keys.

Award-winning drag shows take the stage each Saturday night and other shows occur on a regular basis. Michael’s Outpost, with its award winning entertainment, is a great setting for special events and celebrations.
