Nestled in Houston’s Montrose district, this chic French Mediterranean restaurant, La Villa Saint-Tropez, will transport you to the French Riviera. Three busts of French actress Brigitte Bardot, – credited with popularizing St. Tropez – one in each color of the French flag, greet you at the entrance of the airy restaurant, where the white-and-blue dining room create a coastal feel perfect to enjoy the seasonal food prepared by French chef Bruno Gallou.
On the menu, you’ll find lobster linguine, roasted duck breast with a citrus-honey sauce, eggplant confit, bouillabaisse and a French cheese plate, among others. Pair the simple, classic dishes with the restaurants selection of wines from small vintners in California, the Pacific Northwest, Italy and Burgundy. The restaurant’s gorgeous 12-seat bar offers a good place for a cocktail and some light bites.
La Villa Saint-Tropez is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
