Texans are no strangers to crawfish thanks to their New Orleans neighbors. But over the past couple years, devoted crawfish fans have discovered something outside of the cajun variety. Vietnamese crawfish, with a broader array of seasonings and dipping sauces, has quickly become a favorite for fans of the messy, spicy and flavor-packed food.
LA Crawfish started in a small stall at the 99 Ranch Market and devotees were dedicated to the drive outside the Loop and the elbow room only seating.
But thanks to high demand, a second location recently opened in the former Kobecue space on Richmond in Greenway Plaza. The bigger space means more elbow room for diners. Both spots are BYOB so don’t forget to pick up some cold beer to round out the meal.
Not a fan of crawfish? Try the chicken wings, gumbo or ten varieties of pho.
