Attached to the ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple, situated in Houston’s Garden Oaks area, Govinda’s Vegetarian Cuisine offers a variety of fresh and reasonably-priced Indian dishes, just steps from the Temple. With seating for 75, guests can expect an ever-changing buffet filled with piping-hot entrees, as well as a salad bar and traditional Indian sweets.
Inside, the space is hip and modern, blending splashy wall graphics and polished concrete floors with subtle nods to the neighboring temple in the form of eye-catching, ornate dome lights. Snag a plate and venture past the open kitchen where an array of Northern Indian fare is on display, making sure not to miss the saag paneer, BBQ tofu and lentil dal. Pair your selections with Govinda’s refreshing mango lasse and roti.
Govinda’s is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
