Houston loves its barbecue and Feges BBQ is no exception. Patrick Feges, a self-taught pitmaster known in the culinary world as the 'Whole Hog Guy', has teamed up with industry veteran and Chopped champion Erin Smith to open Feges BBQ in Greenway Plaza. Though they've been cooking up good bbq since 2012 at various pop-up events, this will be the duo's first brick and mortar location. The menu is true to barbecue roots with plenty of brisket, pork ribs, chicken and pulled pork, but offers some exciting additions like boudin, pork belly and house-made sausage. Even vegetarians are sure to enjoy Feges BBQ with it's salad options and inspired list of sides like sweet and spicy sprouts and roasted eggplant with mint and Moroccan spiced carrots. Did we mention there are also breakfast tacos for the early birds? That's right, Feges BBQ opens at 7 a.m., so those with an early morning hankering for BBQ can enjoy brisket and pulled pork tacos until 10:30 a.m. They've also got biscuits and gravy or cowboy casserole for a change of pace.
