Nestled on five acres of green space in Bellaire, Evelyn’s Park is a charming place to enrich one's day, whether trying a family fitness class, savoring brunch at the café, Ivy & James, or getting lost in a book or a butterfly garden.

Wind down the parks pathway to the park's now infamous sculpture, Move One Place On by local Houston artist Bridgette Mongeon. The larger than life scupture depicts the endearing story of Alice in Wonderlandcomplete with three benches for guests to sit while the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Cheshire Cat entertain. The sculpture invites guests on a journey of discovery, with 150 different elements from the book hidden within the sculpture. This concept of interactive art, where visitors can join in the tea party and the treasure hunt for hidden elements, celebrates family, outdoors, creativity and literature in a larger-than-life way—perfectly representing everything that Evelyn loved, in whose honor the sculpture was commissioned.

The park is also a popular event space, with room to accommodate a diverse array of groups and gatherings. The Jerry and Maury Rubenstein Foundation donated land to develop Evelyn’s Park to celebrate the joy in everyday moments, neighbors and community. The park is part of the Bellaire Parks and Recreation system.
