Owned and operated by the Texas family since 2007, Eugene's (previously Danton’s Gulf Coast Seafood), continues to dish out tasty Cajun-style Gulf Coast cuisine. The restaurant, located between Montrose and River Oaks, is a neighborhood place, where everyone feels at home.
Eugene's serves all the popular and classic dishes that Danton's loyal fans liked so much, including Kyle's Crab Salad, Poblano Shrimp and Grits, classic soups and gumbo, the famous Debris Sandwich and tons of fresh, locally caught, grilled fish, blackened, baked or roasted to order. Everything is prepared from scratch and cooked on a wood fire.
Daily specials range from Gulf favorites caught in the wild like red snapper, mahi and grouper, to seasonal specials like crawfish, soft shell crabs and wild salmon. All crabs, shrimp and oysters come from the Gulf.
