Gourmet breakfast on the go? Yes, please. EggHaus Gourmet, right off of TC Jester in the Heights, is open and slinging fast and elevated breakfast options in an inviting and fun atmosphere. The restaurant is the brainchild of the King’s Group, the same group behind King’s Beirgarten and King’s Beerhaus. The menu is full of fan favorites, but with a delicious gourmet spin. Further, all menu items are made daily and they only use cage-free eggs. With 13 gourmet kolaches to choose from, patrons can enjoy bratwurst, smoked polish, drunken chicken stuffed with Spaten Lager marinade, sautéed peppers and buffalo sauce. Perhaps you’re craving a sweet kolache. They offer a sweet cream cheese kolache with melted strawberries or Oma’s peach with apricots and orange zest. There are also vegetarian kolache options like the margherita or strawberry jam, peanut butter and streusel. Quite the departure from your usual kolache menu!
The egg sandwiches can’t be missed, as they include the hangover sandwich with hand-shredded chicken simmered in Spaten Lager beer, green leaf lettuce, tomato, cilantro, avocado ranch and the best part, queso fresco. They’ve also got the basics covered with bacon or sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches. The EggHaus burger is a tri-blend patty of chuck, brisket and short rib with lettuce, tomato, German mustard, homemade aioli on a potato bun.
Rounding out the entrée portion of the menu is the “elevated” taco list like the la brea taco with eggs, potato, bell pepper, grilled onions, cilantro and queso fresco or try the el jefe with barbacoa, onions, cilantro and grilled onions. There are plenty of taco options to choose from.
Lastly, EggHaus also prides itself on its coffee with sustainable and responsibly sourced coffee by Nespresso. From cold brew to drip, corados or Americano, they have it all. Plus, for the matcha lover, they have ceremonial, coratdo, and latte matcha options.
