Get ready, Houston, the liquid nitrogen ice cream craze is hitting the city. West Coast-born Creamistry just opened its first outpost at the Centre at Post Oak, where it delivers made-to-order ice cream, in a flash.
Have dietary restrictions? Creamistry might just be the answer to your prayers. The futuristic concept offers customers a chance to customize desserts using a choice of organic dairy, non-dairy, vegan and gluten free base options. After picking portion size and base, guests can select from about two-dozen flavors, toppings and sauces, but the real fun is seeing the flash-freeze process. Liquid nitrogen, which is odorless, tasteless and colorless, hits the base, freezing the mixture so quickly that gritty ice crystals never have a chance to form, ensuring a silky-smooth end product.
Creamistry is open daily.
