Pitmaster Quy Hoang and his business partners and friends, brothers Robin and Terry Wong, started selling barbecue at Glitter Karaoke – the siblings’ bar in Midtown. The barbecue grew so popular that the three started hosting barbecue pop-ups around town, earning a loyal following.
So the story goes for the three Alief friends who’ve put their own twist on Texas barbecue by injecting Asian influences and flavors into sides and seasonings. Now Blood Bros. BBQ has permanent home in Bellaire, with brightly colored orange walls and wooden tables and booths. Customers will enjoy the Texas trinity of meats: brisket, ribs and sausage, plus traditional sides like cole slaw, mac n’ cheese and roasted creamed corn.
Blood Bros. BBQ is open from Thursday to Sundays from 11 a.m. until the food sells out.
