Located in the River Oaks District, Bisou is a casual dining spot with a globally-inspired cuisine set at the River Oaks Shopping Center. The restaurant's concept of modern American food, with "dashes of French" cuisine, comes from legendary chef and restaurateur Frédéric Perrier (formerly Grille 5115, Café Perrier and Sugar Land's AURA Brasserie).
Chef Perrier brings a continental "kiss" (the French translation for Bisou) to a global fare. The menu offers an eclectic mix of small plates and shareable dishes with lighter, brighter and healthier options. While flavorful, several items can also be made dairy and gluten-free. Dishes include a pan-seared foie gras and yellowtail sashimi with a pad of apple butter and fresh, julienned apples and a masala reduction drizzled over the top, and crisp apple cuts out the fattiness of the foie gras. Guests can let their tastebuds travel farther for more global dishes like tomahawk ribeye a la Fiorentina, a rack of lamb with goat cheese and lamb neck shepherd’s pie, and hamachi sashimi with pan seared foie gras. Those sample options are be paired with cocktails, an extensive wine list, and, as one would expect from the owners of nightclubs Clé and Spire, champagne flowing from magnums. In a similar spirit, Bisou turns up the volume on Saturdays with DJs spinning until midnight.
The luxurious look and feel of Bisou match its vibrant vibe. From the marble floors with brass inlays to black glass columns and exposed speakers, the open space has a great backdrop for dining and cocktails. Bisou is open on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sundays from 10 to 10 p.m.
