Longtime fans of Washington Avenue’s Beaver’s Ice House were treated to a second location in early 2017, when owners Jon Deal and Todd Johnson took over Westheimer’s shuttered Texadelphia space. The expanded footprint, which is more than three times the size of the original spot, makes room for a large dining room, special events space and expansive patio.
Beaver’s regulars can expect to see some items from the restaurant’s Washington Avenue menu, along with new dishes highlighting Gulf seafood and barbecue creations. For tried and true favorites, go for the chicken fried steak, fried deviled eggs or one of the mac and cheese options, though the new fresh catch options are also solid. Look for new additions like the grilled oysters, tuna tower and salmon cobb salad.
Beaver’s is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
