The drag scene in Houston is bursting at the seams lately. You can’t throw a feather boa without hitting a new performer. One of the hottest queens in town is the violin playing, drag diva Angelina DM Trailz. You can catch her on select Sundays at Boheme’s Drag Brunch, Wednesdays for Millenial Dolls at JR’s and practically every special event that needs a little sparkle. Before you go to her show, get to know her a little better here.

Angelina has been doing drag for five years now in the Houston area. In that short amount of time she has cultivated a fan following of “Fangelinas” as she refers to them. 

“It’s been so much fun. I can’t believe that I get to live my dream everyday. I have some side jobs but the support of my friends, sister Queens, and ‘Fangelinas’ has been a blessing and has kept me alive. I love my people of Houston,” says Angelina.

Known for her exceptional female illusions and celebrity impersonations, this queen can also flip, flop and fan out like a pro. That is just the tip of the iceberg for her talent. 

“I’m known for my female illusions like Lady Gaga, Selena, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion and more, but also for being EXTRA! I kick, split, and dip like the dancing girls. I also play the violin and sometimes sing as well. I’ve been on a hoverboard and playing the violin at the same time and in heels," says Angelina.

Angelina’s favorite Houston neighborhood is naturally Montrose where she performs most of her regular gigs. Her favorite thing about Houston is its people and their diversity.

Angelina has a few recommendations for visitors for places other than her shows, of course. 

“Discovery Green never disappoints. They always have beautiful art displays and it’s free!

I can’t wait until they bring back "Out at the Rodeo" night at Rodeo Houston. The Renaissance Festival is so much fun to go to and I’m friends with so many of the entertainers,” says Angelina.
