With a menu cut from the same cloth of the popular Italian bistro Coltivare, Night Heron is a neighborhood-style eatery located in Montrose. Conceived by Agricole Hospitality – the brains behind other local favorite hangouts like Eight Row Flight and Revival Market – the food and expertly crafted cocktails are what people have come to expect from Agricole establishments. Its proximity to hotspots like The Menil Collection and Rothko Chapel make Night Heron the perfect starting point for a breezy weekend day.

The vibe inside the restaurant is airy and casual. The exposed ceiling adds a hip and industrial aesthetic appeal that is juxtaposed with lush greenery spaced out around tables. Stark white chairs and a comfy seating area make you feel at home with no pretense. And on those cool Houston mornings, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee – or carafe of mimosas – on Night Heron’s patio.

Night Heron takes their menu to the next level by making pasta and fresh focaccia daily. It’s a carb-lover’s heaven. Other brunch options include a Honey Chicken Biscuit (for those who are obsessed with the late-night Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit from Whataburger), Croissant Sandwich with scrambled eggs, and a decadent Fritta Di Pane with ricotta, caramelized onion and pesto. Other options are offered a la carte allowing you to build your perfect breakfast.

In addition to a selection of hand-picked wines, Night Heron offers many specialty cocktails that are sure to please. From the classic negroni to refreshing gin beverages with hibiscus and grapefruit, Night Heron knocks it out of the park with each drink. And what brunch wouldn’t be complete without bloody mary’s, mimosas – by glass and carafe – and if you had a really rough, might we suggest the painkiller. A selection of coffees, teas and sodas are also available.

Night Heron is open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
