If you are one of the lucky ones to get tickets, you know that Adele is performing on Tuesday and Wednesday night here in Houston. Like pizza or puppies, everyone loves Adele. The only drawback, like a hangover, is there are consequences the next day, like sadness.

Yes, Adele’s velvety smooth vocals and intoxicating melodies cannot be matched but who can honestly say they haven’t ugly cried to “Someone Like You?” It has even been parodied on Saturday Night Live.

In preparation of her upcoming concerts, here is a list of things to do to cheer yourself up after going to her concert.

Breakfast
If you wake up feeling sad, just know that sugary goodness is all over Houston. All Houstonians know that Shipley’s is a staple, it originated here, but we have more to offer. Try out Common Bond, Lee’s Chicken and Donuts or Christy’s in Montrose.

Tacos
Tacos solve all problems and in Houston, there is no shortage of them. Eat your feelings at places like Torchy’s Tacos, Fusion Taco, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop or Velvet Taco. Not only will you leave fulfilled but also full. And if you are in the mood for something a little different, go to Tacos A Go Go and get the Tot-Chos. It is all the goodness you like in nachos but on tater tots. #MindBlown

Retail Therapy
Sometimes you have to buy yourself a little happy. Why not hit up Kuhl Linscomb off Kirby for all your home décor needs or go right down the street to Stag Provisions. When all else fails, there is always The Galleria. And for all you crafty gays, the Nutcracker Market is opening on November 10 at NRG Stadium.

Grab a Drink
OK, maybe drinking isn’t the best thing to do when you are a little depressed but why not give it a try? Instead of hitting up the usual Montrose bars, visit one of Houston’s local breweries like 8th Wonder, Karbach or St. Arnolds.
