Yokushi Robata

William Lim, the force behind Sushi Wabi, has added another Japanese concept to the Houston market with Yokushi Robata. Set in the Greenway Plaza area, near Weslayan Street and Richmond Avenue, the restaurant specializes in skewered selections cooked to perfection on a robata grill, ensuring guests meats that are crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy inside.     

Inside, Yokushi is cozy with tables sprinkled throughout, but regulars know to snag a seat at the bar, where the chef will happily serve as your meal-time tour guide. On the menu, light bites like octopus salad and gyoza make great starters, rounded out by steamy bowls of ramen and fresh poke selections. Still, the skewers are the main draw, ranging from chicken sausage and garlic chip-topped beef skewers to lamb chops with a balsamic sauce and bacon wrapped tomatoes.

Yokushi Robata is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday, and dinner, Saturday and Sunday.
