Ramen Tatsu-Ya

1722 California St. | Houston, TX 77006

Austin’s popular noodle shop, Ramen Tatsu-Ya, expanded to the Houston market in early 2017. It marked the third location for the company’s wildly successful concept and the first time to put down roots outside of the capitol city. In H-Town, find the soup shop in Montrose, where guests can expect more than a half-dozen authentic ramen bowl varieties, small bites and sweets.

Venture past the oversized Maneki Neko (Japanese fortune cat) that sits out front and into Ramen Tatsu-Ya’s wood-wrapped interior that combines dramatic rope pendant lights, Japanese graffiti and community-style seating. On the menu, diners will find slow-cooked, traditional ramen like the Tonkotsu original with a rich pork bone broth, chasu (tender pork belly), egg noodles, mushrooms, scallion and the most quintessential ramen topping—ajitama (a marinated, soft-boiled egg).

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
