Public House

The Heights’ popular White Oak stretch made room for a new pub—Public House—in February 2012. The low-key, comes-as-you-are venture draws a steady stream of locals that appreciate the bar’s solid selection of craft beer.

Popular Houston-area breweries including St. Arnold Brewing Company, Southern Star, Karbach and No Label are all on offer, along with selections from Oregon, California and Louisiana. The interior’s warm wood features are contrasted by tin-ceiling accents, polished concrete floors and exposed brick walls. A digital jukebox and a pair of dartboards also add to the appeal. Outside, patio seating provides a prime view of the White Oak action.

Public House is open daily from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.
