We're all in a rush these days. That's why one-stop-shops are so appreciated. But few offer quite the experience as Harold’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace, the neighborhood’s newest deli, kitchen, restaurant and bar.
Owner Alli Jarrett is a Heights local and has a deep respect for the historic value of the neighborhood. That’s why when it came to renovating the old Harold’s building, once an iconic clothing store owned by Harold Wiesenthal, she took time and care to rebuild in a way the community would appreciate, hence tagging “@ Harold’s” to the marquee.
The building is divided into two parts. Downstairs is Alli’s Pizzaria featuring a wood-stone pizza oven. Upstairs is Harold’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace with both indoor and outdoor rooftop seating, along with a private dining area and bar. In the kitchen you’ll find local chef Antoine Ware running the show. Ware's previous stops include The Hay Merchant and The Federal Grill.
The menu offers brunch, lunch and dinner, though dishes change depending on availability of local and regional ingredients.
Similar to Shade and Down House, HGS is technically in a “dry” area, and will therefore serve alcohol via a private club that's free to join. It's named "Harold's Club" in honor of the previous resident. Once a member, happy hour drink specials are served up Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while happy hour food is offered Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
