Following the success of its food truck and first brick and mortar store, the locally loved and nationally recognized Good Dog Houston has expanded with a second location in Montrose.
Good Dog’s growth comes as no surprise to its loyal followers or those reading headlines. After all, the hot dog spot has earned top nods by Fox News, Esquire magazine, The Daily Meal and plenty of H-Town pubs.
These days, not much has changed on Good Dog’s menu, as the concept embraces what it does best—a good dog. The natural-casing hot dogs are made locally and all of the toppings are made in-house. Slow Dough Bread Co. bakes the lightly-buttered buns and a long list of topping options finish it off. Fan favorites include the Guac-A-Dog (avocado, fresh jalapeno, tomatoes, diced onion, roasted garlic aioli, cilantro, cumin and lime) or the Sunshine Dog (picked red onions, fresh dill relish, cream cheese and mayo). Vegetarians will be pleased at the shop’s tofu dog option.
Good Dog is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
