Move over ladies, burlesque is not just for you anymore. Men have become influenced by the performance art and are coming to Houston to steal the show.

The downtown hotspot Prohibition Supperclub has partnered with the Terrible Enfants Theatre Company to premiere the Long Island Boys, Houston’s only “boylesque” show. However, these are no boys at all, these are men. Similar to the traditional genre of burlesque, these international male performers will dazzle audiences with acts of aerial, acrobatic and burlesque-centric routines.

While these dashing gentlemen embody the charm and cool of the early 1900s, don’t expect to escape the Houston heat. You’ll be feeling warm at this 21+ show that promises at least a bit of striptease, making this show the perfect girls night out, bachelorette party, or fun night for any group of guys wanting something more entertaining and classy than the dancers at bars like The Eagle or Tony’s Corner Pocket. Not that those places aren’t great.

The Long Island Boys show also offers a $35 prix-fixe dinner featuring dishes like chimmichurri oysters, classic fried chicken and a 72-hour short rib. The show is on the third Thursday of every month starting this month on August 17, and lasts through October. Tickets can be purchased here.
